Ross Chun addresses the CUSD Board to speak about the STEAM Magnet School
Tonight, Ross Chun addressed the CUSD Board to speak in support of STEAM, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, in their continuing discussions about creating a STEAM Magnet School in the district. Mr. Chun has worked with Assistant Superintendent Hatchel and her team of educators and administrators to develop a strategy and philosophy for STEAM. "It has been a privilege to work with these educators to contribute what I can to this initiative. I want to thank Trustee Hatton for reminding us of the importance of including the arts in this initiative. Art inspires and energizes students as they pursue the other proficiencies. Art compliments Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, and brings the creative element to the program. I would argue that Steve Jobs was as much an artist as he was an inventor, innovator and engineer."
