Economic Development

As our residential community matures in Aliso Viejo, so does the business community. In the past 5 years, we have seen many new companies establish locations in our city, but we have also seen businesses leave. The role of the city should be to find new ways to attract businesses, and create an environment that encourages them to stay in Aliso Viejo, and flourish. With that said, I believe that our city should take a supportive role in the growth of the business community without imposing itself on the corporate entities or the professionals that make up those corporations. Cooperation and collaboration is the key to success, with all parties acknowledging their respective roles. With several professional business networks and a new Chamber of Commerce, Aliso Viejo has the opportunity to distinguish itself among the most successful cities in South Orange County.
